2019 Marion "Valpolicella Superiore" Veneto 750mL - 6 Bottle Pack
Est. range:
Tax included.
Amongst fans of the style and of Marion this remains the favourite wine, it’s easy to see why as this is quite the ‘purist’ expression of Valpolicella Superiore in its cepage. Composed primarily of Corvina with small amounts of Oseleta + Rondinella. These components are fermented together in stainless steel (bare in mind the fresh and dry grapes are fermented separately due to harvest times) then transferred into barrel for 30 or so months.
Only 10% now sees small barrel (Tonneaux, 350 to 500ltr) with the rest in 3000ltr, all Slovenian oak. The appassimento wines are fermented and aged separately and the final blend assembled on the blending bench starting at 30% appassimento as a general rule then tweaking the blend in either direction depending on the vintage.
Region: Italy, Valpolicella Veneto

Buying At Auction?
Your Questions, Answered
What do you need from me to get started?
We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.
How many wines are in each Lot?
You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.
Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?
All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.
How much is the Buyers' Commission?
We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.
What are your freight charges?
Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.
Is there a Guarantee on my wine?
Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
