Ratings and Reviews:

  • Vivino: 4.0/5.0 - Wine lovers appreciate its bold yet smooth profile, highlighting its earthy and spicy notes.
  • Jeroboams: Described as "magnificent" and "sumptuous," this vintage is noted for its extra richness and layered complexity due to the warm vintage, which is particularly suited to the St-Émilion style.
  • Decanter 95/100 - This first scents are floral in character, accompanied by a touch of blackcurrant and raspberry, but aeration reveals graphite and slightly smoky notes. The palate is perfectly balanced and expresses clearly the potential of this estate. The 2018 de Millery is a racy thoroughbred that will go the distance without effort, a telltale sign being its chalk-infused yet airborne finish. Should age well for 20 to 25 years. [Yohan Castaing, 08/01/2021]

  • Vinous /Antonio Galloni 96/100 - The 2018 Millery is magnificent. Rich, layered and sumptuous, Millery dazzles from the very first taste. The warm vintage has given this typically reserved Saint-Emilion an extra kick of richness that works so well here. Inky red fruit, blood orange, mint, spice, cedar and new leather are some of the many aromas and flavors that develop in the glass. Silky, perfectly ripe tannins wrap it all together. This is such a gorgeous Saint-Emilion.  [Antonio Galloni, 01/03/2021] Anticipated maturity: 2026-2043

  • Wine Spectator 91/100 - When to drink this wine : To be enjoyed from 2019 to 2027. Tasted by James Molesworth in 2018: "This wine has the maturity of the vintage, bursting with succulent plum, raspberry and blackberry puree flavours. It manages to stay fresh despite a framework of toasted vanilla and liquorice, with a polished structure guiding the finish. "

Food Pairing: Perfect with robust dishes such as beef bourguignon, lamb shoulder, or duck confit. Its structure also pairs beautifully with hard cheeses and dark chocolate, making it versatile for dining and dessert occasions.
