Enjoy powerful tannins with a velvety finish.

Description: Experience the pinnacle of Italian winemaking with the 2015 Zenato 'Sergio Zenato' Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva DOCG. This 750 mL bottle showcases the dedication and passion of the Zenato family, delivering a wine that is both a tribute to tradition and a beacon of innovation. Each sip offers a profound complexity and depth that only the best Amarone can provide.

Tasting Notes: The 2015 vintage exudes opulence and texture, featuring a rich palette of aromas including ripe black cherries, plums, and hints of tobacco and spices. On the palate, it presents layers of dried fruits, leather, and dark chocolate, underpinned by velvety tannins that lead to a long, enveloping finish. The balance between acidity and alcohol is masterfully achieved, ensuring each glass is harmonious and inviting.

Vinification: The grapes for this exquisite Amarone undergo a meticulous drying process, known as appassimento, which concentrates their flavors and sugars. After a prolonged fermentation, the wine is aged in large oak barrels to develop its unique and intense flavor profile.

Buying At Auction?

Your Questions, Answered

What do you need from me to get started?

We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.

How many wines are in each Lot?

You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.

Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?

All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.

How much is the Buyers' Commission?

We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.

What are your freight charges?

Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.

Is there a Guarantee on my wine?

Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
