Product Name: Greenock Creek Barossa Valley Mataro 2016 - 750 mL

Description: Discover the bold and structured Greenock Creek Barossa Valley Mataro 2016, a true gem from one of Australia's most renowned wine regions. This Mataro, also known as Mourvèdre, showcases the varietal's distinctive characteristics, nurtured in the sun-drenched vineyards of the Barossa Valley.

Tasting Notes: The 2016 vintage exudes rich, ripe aromas of dark berries and plums complemented by an intriguing spice mix and hints of earthy undertones. On the palate, it reveals a robust structure with smooth tannins that glide effortlessly, leading to a long, satisfying finish. This wine's depth and complexity are balanced beautifully by a vibrant acidity, making it a perfect pairing for hearty meat dishes and aged cheeses.

Vinification: Crafted with meticulous care, the grapes for this Mataro were hand-picked at the peak of ripeness to ensure optimal flavor concentration. Fermentation took place in traditional open vats, followed by extensive ageing in oak barrels to develop its rich, full-bodied profile.

Your Questions, Answered

What do you need from me to get started?

We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.

How many wines are in each Lot?

You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.

Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?

All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.

How much is the Buyers' Commission?

We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.

What are your freight charges?

Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.

Is there a Guarantee on my wine?

Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
