Product Name: Chateau Cantenac Brown Grand Cru Classe Margaux 2012 750 mL

Description: Made with 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Merlot, this is a classic of its region: firmly structured, with a dense, opaque ruby and purple colour. On the palate, this has excellent purity and its tannins, which were hard in youth, will have softened.

Tasting Notes: The Chateau Cantenac Brown 2002 exudes aromas of dark cherries, blackberries, and hints of vanilla and spice, leading to a complex palate layered with flavors of cassis, mocha, and cedar. The finish is long and silky, showcasing the impeccable balance and structure that Margaux wines are celebrated for.

Review:

James Molesworth, Wine Spectator Insider, January 2015:  93/100

"This offers beguiling aromas of bergamot, roasted sandalwood and black tea, before giving way to a core of plum, blackberry and raspberry reduction notes"

Perfect Pairings: This Margaux 2012 pairs splendidly with fine dishes such as roasted lamb, beef bourguignon, or truffled mushrooms. It's also a perfect match with hard cheeses, offering a delightful contrast to their rich textures.

Ideal Drinking Window: Now through to 2025, this wine is at a perfect stage to be enjoyed, revealing all its complexity and charm.

Buying At Auction?

Your Questions, Answered

What do you need from me to get started?

We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.

How many wines are in each Lot?

You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.

Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?

All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.

How much is the Buyers' Commission?

We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.

What are your freight charges?

Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.

Is there a Guarantee on my wine?

Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
