The Icon Wine, distinct of Haselgrove’s house style and keeping in line with our Legend Series principle of delivering luxury in a bottle. The best fruit from the best barrels are creatively blended to produce a silky textural and complete wine with up front drinkability and exceptional ageing potential.
Aroma - Intensely complex, dark blackcurrant and plums are integrated with fresh redcurrant and hints of raspberry. Seamlessly integrated with savoury oak, cured meats and dark chocolate with hints of dried herbs and fresh vanilla.
Palate – Full bodied, rich and balanced fruit of blackberry, plums and redcurrants. Complex savoury wood spice and cured meats finishing with hints of light char and chocolate. Balanced acidity with great structural tannins provide round complete mouth feel with excellent length and intensity.
Winemaking - Crushed but not destemmed to open fermenters, cold soaked for 3 x days under inert gas cover, then fermented at 22-28 degrees and plunged 3 x day with a gentle pump over during peak ferment. On skins for 8 days before pressing direct to new and 1 year old French oak Hogsheads. Both vineyard batches are kept separate right through maturation, after 18 months of maturation in barrel, the barrels are individually selected to give the most complete tannin profile from both oak and vineyard, with fullness definition and length the ultimate goal.

What do you need from me to get started?
We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.
How many wines are in each Lot?
You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.
Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?
All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.
How much is the Buyers' Commission?
We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.

Is there a Guarantee on my wine?
Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
