Château Latour-Martillac
The best lots from the best parcels are chosen each year to integrate into the blending of the first wines for both red and white wines. This stringent selection is driven by the direction of Loïc Kressmann and our winemaker, Valérie Vialard, with the help of one of the most renowned consultants in Bordeaux.
Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot & Petit Verdot
Description: Unveil the elegance of Bordeaux with the 2015 Château Latour-Martillac Pessac-Léognan, a distinguished red wine that embodies the rich terroir of the Pessac-Léognan appellation. This 750 mL bottle offers a robust expression of craftsmanship and heritage, marked by its inclusion in the esteemed classification of Graves wine for both its red and white wines.
Tasting Notes: The 2015 vintage presents a beautifully structured blend, primarily featuring Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with touches of Petit Verdot. It exhibits a deep ruby color and exudes aromas of ripe blackberries, plums, and cassis, complemented by refined notes of cedar and tobacco. The palate is rewarded with layers of dark fruit, silky tannins, and a subtle hint of oak, leading to a long, polished finish.
Vinification: Château Latour-Martillac is renowned for its rigorous selection process and traditional winemaking methods. The 2015 grapes were meticulously handpicked and sorted, followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. The wine was then aged in French oak barrels, a significant portion of which was new, enhancing its complexity and aging potential.

The 2015 Latour-Martillac is a powerful, muscular wine. Beams of tannin give the 2015 its potent, brooding personality. Savory herbs, new leather, wild cherry, smoke and kirsch get an extra kick of intensity from bright acids and pointed yet well-integrated tannins. Today, the 2015 is a bit reticent and tightly wound, but that should be less of an issue with more time in bottle.
Cellaring Potential: This wine is impressively structured for extended aging and will continue to evolve in the cellar. It is anticipated to reach its peak maturity between 2025 and 2035, making it an excellent addition for collectors.
