Tasting Notes: The 2011 Lynch-Bages exudes aromas of ripe blackcurrants, cedarwood, and subtle spices, underlined by a hint of graphite and tobacco. On the palate, it presents a solid structure with well-integrated tannins, leading to a balanced and elegant finish. The moderate climatic conditions of the 2011 vintage have given this wine a characteristic approachability, with potential for aging.

Ratings and Reviews:
- Robert Parker – The Wine Advocate: 92 points - "A strong effort from Lynch-Bages, the 2011 exhibits an opaque deep ruby/purple color as well as a sweet bouquet of cassis, hazelnuts, and crushed rocks. Dense, medium to full-bodied, and rich, it is approachable now but will continue to mature and delight for another 15-20 years."
- James Suckling: 93 points - "A wine with a sturdy frame of tannins and striking fruit. Full body, refined and polished. The complexity of earthy and fruity elements is compelling."
- Wine Spectator: 90 points - "Features a solid, if slightly rugged, backbone, with a core of dark currant, fig, and blackberry fruit. A strong, dark tobacco note checks in on the grippy finish. A hint of cedar adds dimension."
Food Pairing: Ideal with robust dishes such as roast lamb, grilled steak, or hearty vegetarian stews. Its versatility makes it a perfect complement to a variety of cheese platters, especially aged hard cheeses.
Cellaring Potential: The 2011 Lynch-Bages can be enjoyed now and will continue to develop complexity with additional cellaring, promising enhanced enjoyment through 2031.
