Product Name: Greenock Creek 'Fifteen Claims' Shiraz 2019 - 750 mL

Description: Discover the bold flavors of the Barossa Valley with our Greenock Creek 'Fifteen Claims' Shiraz 2019. This exceptional Shiraz is crafted from meticulously selected grapes from the renowned Fifteen Claims vineyard, known for its rich, fertile soils that impart a unique depth and complexity to the wine.

Tasting Notes: The 2019 vintage presents an exquisite balance of ripe blackberry and plums, harmoniously blended with hints of pepper, vanilla, and dark chocolate. The robust palate is complemented by a firm tannic structure and a lingering finish that echoes with spicy notes, making it a perfect companion for grilled meats and robust cheeses.

  • Vinification: Each cluster of Shiraz grapes is hand-picked at the peak of ripeness to ensure maximum flavor. The wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by extended maceration to enhance color and tannin extraction. Aging in French oak barrels for 18 months adds layers of complexity and elegance.

  • Sam Kim – Wine Orbit 98 Points  “This is both lavish and graceful, showing opulent fruit power, toasted nut, charcuterie and potpourri aromas on the nose, followed by a compelling palate offering terrific depth and refinement. Seamless and sophisticated with a symphony of gorgeous flavours.

James Suckling: 92 points - "Rich and opulent, with a palate that dances between notes of ripe fruits and a touch of mineral undertones."

  • Wine Spectator: 93 points - "Vibrant and expressive, this Shiraz offers a sophisticated profile that matures beautifully, promising enhanced depth with cellar aging."
  • Halliday Wine Companion - Dave Brooks - 97 Points : “A dry-grown, 1998 shiraz planting on the Greenock Creek estate, aged in French oak hogsheads, 75% new, for 21 months. Intense and concentrated blackberry, black plum and black cherry fruit notes with plenty of cedary oak nuance and hint of deep, dark spice, formic acid, salted black licorice, Old Jamaica chocolate, fig jam and earth. Weighty, full bodied and super-concentrated, with ripe, sandy tannins retreating back into the fruit and intense blackberry jam and a cedary plume on the long finish.”
