Ratings and Reviews:
-
Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: 94 points - "A profound example of McLaren Vale Shiraz, the 2002 is sumptuously textured, remarkably complex and opulent, with an expansive mouthfeel and profound depth. "The nearly perfect 2002 Shiraz is the stuff of legends. It is a 1,000 case cuvee that has been completely fermented and aged in 100% new American oak. An inky purple color is accompanied by a remarkable bouquet of white flowers intermixed with melted licorice, blackberries, currants, figs, and espresso roast. Extremely full-bodied, with extraordinary ripeness, opulence, and viscosity, yet very good acidity as well as excellent tannin providing up-lift and definition, this unforgettable wine can be drunk now or cellared for a decade or more. Bravo!"
Robert Parkers Wine Advocate #148 August 2003" - Wine Spectator: 92 points - "Rich and concentrated, this Shiraz offers a remarkably focused and layered palate, with fine-grained tannins and a seamless integration of oak."
Pairing Suggestions: This Shiraz pairs beautifully with hearty dishes such as grilled lamb chops, barbecued beef brisket, or rich vegetarian moussaka. Its bold flavors also make it a perfect companion for aged cheeses and dark chocolate desserts.
Cellaring Potential: Already showing beautifully, this Shiraz can also be cellared for a few more years, potentially enhancing its already complex profile. It is an exemplary choice for collectors and connoisseurs alike, offering peak drinking through 2025.

Is there a Guarantee on my wine?
Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer.
