Description: Indulge in the Turkey Flat Sparkling "Blend No.16" Shiraz NV, a festive choice that brings the iconic Barossa tradition to your glass with a sparkling twist. Celebrated for its vibrant and unashamedly festive character, this sparkling Shiraz is a must-have for any celebration or as a unique gift.

Tasting Notes: This non-vintage Sparkling Shiraz exudes a deep ruby color with a mesmerizing aroma of plums, blackberries, and blueberries complemented by hints of chocolate and earthy tones. On the palate, it reveals a rich and concentrated profile with flavors of dark fruits and a touch of wood spice, culminating in a long, fine tannin finish that is both polished and complex.

Vinification: Crafted with 100% Shiraz grapes from the revered Barossa Valley, this wine undergoes a meticulous vinification process. The base wines are matured in seasoned French oak hogsheads for up to three years before being tiraged using the traditional champagne method. After a second fermentation, it matures in the bottle on lees for 10 months before disgorgement, ensuring a sparkling wine of exceptional quality and depth.

Cellaring Potential: While ready to be enjoyed now, Turkey Flat Sparkling Shiraz NV has a cellaring potential of up to 10 years, promising evolving flavors and increased complexity over time.

Food Pairing: Perfect with a breakfast of bacon and eggs, or try it with richer fare like roast poultry or even a decadent chocolate dessert to elevate any dining experience.

Reviews

The Real Review - Stuart Knox 90/100

Deep ruby with a fine bead in the glass. Nose lifts with blueberry and smoked meat aromatics. Weighty and deep, dark berries, smoked meat, and graphite minerality all flow through the long palate. A little sweetness balances the dark savoury nature, and it all carries long. Food is recommended with it.

Buying At Auction?

Your Questions, Answered

What do you need from me to get started?

We will need you to confirm that you are over 18 (for obvious reasons!) and to open an account by registering on the site. This will include provision of credit card details for any eventual purchases. You will also need to sign that you have read the terms and conditions.

How many wines are in each Lot?

You will see the quantity (number of bottles) stated above the price. Please note that the bid-price is per bottle so you will need to multiply the price by the number of bottles in the lot to calculate the total price of the lot.

Can I cancel my bid if I change my mind?

All bids are final - please think before you confirm your bid.

How much is the Buyers' Commission?

We have an extremely competitive buyers' commission of 16.5% (GST inclusive). This will be added to the final winning price of your Lot at the end of the auction.

What are your freight charges?

Please see our Delivery Policy for full details relating to freight.

Is there a Guarantee on my wine?

Under Australian law, consumer guarantees do not apply to goods purchased at auction - all such purchases are at the risk of the Buyer. We will always provide as much detail as we can as to the visual condition and provenance of each Lot, however this is done so as a guide rather than as a guarantee.
